CoF NSCF Outreach Summer Associate

Member Duties : The North Star Community Foundation Summer Associate will promote the foundation’s anti-poverty programs. Activities will include: • Assist the Executive Director, initiate social media postings, community dialogs, and forums that garner positive attention for projects • Assist in revising a strategy for short-term (6 months) and long-term (5 years) funding • Receive training on solicitations for donations in labor, materials and money • Help initiate funding strategy • Attend meetings of the Arctic Alliance for People and member project discussions to listen and discover common needs being addressed in each project • Assist the executive director in drafting messages that can positively influence attitudes and behaviors that strengthen support for essential services • Meet and discuss with stakeholders the impacts that services bring • Assessing volunteer requirements of member programs • Develop volunteer recruitment strategies for member programs Program Benefits : Training , Living Allowance , Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend .

Cultural Resource Intern

Expected Dates May 17, 2021 to September 5, 2021 Site Glenallen Field Office Position ID PO-00728635 Intern will assist permanent and seasonal BLM staff in conducting cultural resource management tasks, including archaeological surveys, site recording, mapping grade GPS recording, and site protection efforts. Fieldwork will be conducted throughout the Glennallen Field Office’s limits in South-Central Alaska. Work will be conducted in remote and rugged areas, and aircraft, boats, ATVs and highway vehicles will be used for access.

The Summer Intern position is based primarily out of Anchorage, Alaska or Glennallen, Alaska during the summer season from approximately May through August. The intern will work with the various lines of business depending on what is available and where the interns interests lie. This position will perform tasks including filing, data management, research, and other administrative/clerical duties.

UAS Student Housing - Summer Cleaning Crew

The UAS Student Housing office is hiring Summer Cleaning Crew student assistants for summer employment. We view our student staff team members as an opportunity for personal and professional growth. On-site training will be provided to all Student Housing staff members and includes equipment and chemical usage training, as well as hazardous materials training. Student employees will receive free on campus housing and be eligible to work full time (40 hours a week) throughout the Summer.
