who we are maine 2011: downeast began in the basement of a dorm room, with a killer recipe and boundless naiveté. nine years later, our ciders retain the unfiltered freshness, authentic craft process, and balanced flavor profiles that appeal to both novice and discerning cider drinkers. now based out of boston, we're no longer beginners, but we’re still just as hungry. we're in need of the right people to join our team.

summer sampling rep THIS IS A FULL TIME-SEASONAL POSITION visit bars and restaurants on a strict, structured schedule sample cider, answer questions about the product and company, & engage with customers make everyone’s sampling experience one they won’t forget - we really mean it expected schedule: 40 hours. thurs & fri 1-9, sat 12-8, sun 10-7. every weekend. it will be work. a lot of work. it will be, and should be, fun as hell. who we’re looking for, you should be; serious about the time commitment - this is a night and weekend job all about the hustle - you’ll sample over 1000 people each weekend prompt and always ready to go - you’ll visit over 350 bars and restaurants this summer able to make friends with anyone in 60 seconds, and turn any bar into a party be down-to-earth, approachable, and seek out meaningful conversations requirements you must be 21+ you need a car based in boston or cape cod or rhode island or portland, me or new hampshire or new york city (brooklyn, manhattan) or philadelphia or cleveland or columbus be able to lift 50 lbs can’t say this enough-you must be a hustler. you have to love to work. the perks chance to work with an awesome, vibrant group of people that love what they do mileage reimbursement cider stipend (LOTS of cider…how big is your fridge?) compensation $20 per hour + $0.575 per mile to apply: we want your resume and a cover letter telling us: what you will bring to our team? scrap the overly-formal language and tell it to us straight - why you? do not “to whom it may concern” us. also include - and this is a must- your hottest take. you don’t have to defend it (but feel free). we just want to know what it is. an example from your (potential) manager: jim from the office is a psychopath-a truly manipulative and evil villain.
